Day 1: Sunshine

Sometimes, when missions work and living in a foreign country and dealing with four little darling children catches up with us...we forget about how much we have to be thankful for. So, for the month of November, we are blogging through 30 Days of Thanksgiving. Welcome to Day 1! (Yes we know, it's November 2nd. thanks for noticing.) Yesterday, instead of sitting in front of a cold computer screen blogging, we were enjoying the sunshine with four little adorable monsters!

It rains here A LOT ...if it's not raining...it tends to be cloudy.  You know how in the tropics...they tell you that there are 2 seasons...Rainy and Dry.  Well, here...we do have 2 seasons... rainy season and EXTREMELY rainy season...even when it's supposedly dry season...it rains almost every day.  Sigh.

I never really realized how much weather affected my mood...and my kids moods(but maybe their bad moods are fed off of mine).  It's not that I'm always grouchy on the cloudy days, it's just that having the sun out makes me extremely HAPPY!

When the sun is shining, there is great rejoicing at the Johnson house.

Yesterday was one of those sunny days, and as the pictures above show, we did not waste our sunshine. It rained again today...but the slight tans and pictures remind us it wasn't just a dream.

Brian says: "I feel like we live in Forks." For those of you who get that...then you have a good picture of what it's like where we live. Thank you God for the SUNSHINE!!
