July Rewind - Manila Trip

Playing catch up...once again.  July kind of just flew by...and now here we are in August and I'm finally blogging about it.

So, as many of you know...we had to make a trip to Manila in July to renew Asia's passport...

Traveling is not something we look forward to with the kiddos.  The last flight we took with them...the boys cried all but about 15 minutes of a 1 1/2 hour flight...and Skye joined them for the majority of that.
We knew that it would be a very long trip... At least a 3 hour taxi trip to the airport.  Then, probably a delayed plane.  Well, we were right.  :)  We got stuck in a little tiny airport for 6 hours.  Did I mention that there wasn't any running water in the bathrooms and only snack/pasalubong foods available.  :)
The kiddos watched movies until we ran out of batteries...  :)
When we finally got on the plane...which is about a 1 1/2 hour flight...I had the privilege of sitting next to these two...who fought over whether or not the windows should be up or down...and just about everything else they could think of to fight over.  :)
Needless to say...I looked like this about 1/2 way through the flight.  hahaha
Of course, then, there is Brian...See how nicely those two are sitting...and Brian's reading...gasp...a magazine.  hahaha
Thankfully, the taxi ride to the guest house didn't take too long...and we finally got everyone to bed.

Early the next AM we were on our way to the US Embassy...which was the purpose of our trip to Manila.  It's a very long story...and we have no pictures because you aren't allowed to have cell phones or cameras in the embassy...but it's a complete miracle that we were able to get her passport renewed!
